Pentecost X (Trinity IX)
Ezekiel
3:17-19
"Son of man, I have made
you a watchman for the house of Israel; therefore hear a word from My mouth, and
give them warning from Me: When I say to the wicked, "You shall surely
die,' and you give him no warning, nor speak to warn the wicked from his wicked
way, to save his life, that same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his
blood I will require at your hand. Yet, if you warn the wicked, and he does not
turn from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity;
but you have delivered your soul.
1st Timothy 4:12-16
Let no one despise your youth,
but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in
faith, in purity. Till I come, give attention to reading, to exhortation, to
doctrine. Do not neglect the gift that is in you, which was given to you by
prophecy with the laying on of the hands of the eldership. Meditate on these
things; give yourself entirely to them, that your progress may be evident to
all. Take heed to yourself and to the doctrine. Continue in them, for in doing
this you will save both yourself and those who hear you.
